I stayed home for a year to care for my terminally ill wife from May until June. Is there a credit I can claim for caring for her? What is it called and how much can I claim?

I am sorry for your loss. You should have your wife's doctor complete a T2201, Disability Certificate (http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/E/pbg/tf/t2201/README.html). Submit the form to the Canada Revenue Agency, they will inform you if you qualify for the disability credit and the number of years you can receive credit.
